THE GILLS
Yes. I said it. Gills. Not girls. Not gals. It's "The Gills". Here at Finer Things Club we are all gills which means we're tighter and closer than any other girlfriends around. Being a gill is something you earn. A right of passage if you will. A gill is something you can completely rely on. A "gilfriend" you know will have your back at all times. With that being said, us gills have a taken a spun of the Finer Things Club from NBC's "The Office" and have put our own twist onto things. We read books, drink tea, wine, and coffee and just plain be. I'll start off the initial post by giving you the Finer Things Club 10 Commandments. They are as follows:
1. No Taking the name of the gill in vain. (Like I said..being a gill is serious)
2. Gills Only (Speaks for itself)
3. What happns in Finer Things, Stays in Finer Things (Meaning there will be information I said that I can't report. Soyee)
4. No Reading Ahead (We have strict rules about what needs to be read, and well, reading ahead is strictly forbidden)
5. No reading books that one or more gills have already read.
6. If a gill does not do her weekly reading assignment, then she must provide the refreshment for the following meeting. (Reading your book is an absolute must)
7. The partaking of wine, tea, or coffee is required.
8. A meeting of the gills is required in order to induct a new member.
9. The gills must be open and honest about all things.
10. Gills must have an annual trip together till the day they die.
These are the rules of the gills. You can stick to ours or make up your own. Either way. It's your choice. Next post you'll be meeting "The Gills". Till then stay finer. ;)
